Betina Dawson, AMFT
After many years in the corporate world, I chose to become a therapist to support those navigating challenges or seeking growth in their work, relationships, family dynamics, cultural intersections, and other areas that may contribute to stress, anxiety, depression, or feeling stuck. Midlife issues, perimenopause/menopause and PMDD are other areas of special focus for me. I draw from psychodynamic, attachment theory, narrative and mindfulness/somatic approaches, integrating spiritual psychology and culturally sensitive frameworks based on each client’s needs. As someone who is half Mexican and half Anglo, I bring a multicultural perspective and lived sensitivity to my practice, working with clients from both similar and diverse backgrounds. I have found that exploring concepts such as Marianismo can offer meaningful insight into how cultural, religious, and familial influences shape identity, life choices, and relationship patterns, and I am committed to creating a thoughtful, supportive space as you move through your journey.
