Betina Dawson, AMFT
After many years in the corporate world, I chose to become a therapist to support those navigating challenges or seeking growth in their work, relationships, family dynamics, cultural intersections, and other areas that may contribute to stress, anxiety, depression, or feeling stuck. I draw from psychodynamic, narrative, mindfulness, and somatic approaches, integrating spiritual psychology and culturally sensitive frameworks based on each client’s needs. As someone who is half Mexican and half Anglo, I bring a multicultural perspective and lived sensitivity to my practice, working with clients from both similar and diverse backgrounds. I have found that exploring concepts such as Marianismo can offer meaningful insight into how cultural, religious, and familial influences shape identity, life choices, and relationship patterns, and I am committed to creating a thoughtful, supportive space as you move through your journey.
