Kristie Kirby, AMFT

I am a relational, trauma-informed therapist who believes people are not problems to be fixed, but stories shaped by their experiences, relationships, and the ways they learned to survive. Each person’s story is continually unfolding, and I help clients reclaim authorship so they can move forward in ways that feel more aligned and empowered. I take a holistic, mind-body-spirit approach, integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with narrative and attachment-based frameworks to gently explore both present thought patterns and the deeper beliefs that influence anxiety, self-doubt, and relational struggles. I strive to create a space that feels steady, compassionate, and emotionally safe — where you don’t have to perform or have everything figured out — while also thoughtfully challenging the beliefs and patterns that keep you feeling small or stuck. Together, we build practical tools for change while making room for the parts of your story that long to be seen, understood, and reshaped. For those who desire it, I welcome integrating faith or spiritual values into our work, always honoring each person’s unique beliefs and journey. Outside of therapy, I am a writer who works with children and families in various settings and enjoys nature, hiking, cooking, films, and spending time outdoors.
